Somerville Historic Preservation Commission

Preservation Planner Intern

September 2015-Present

 

  • Lead public history project to capture Harvard Hill neighborhood history through archival research and oral history interviews in preparation for local historic district designation

  • Produced successful Community Preservation Act grant application for conservation work of Civil War monument and grave markers at Milk Row Cemetery in Somerville, MA

  • Implement second phase of city-wide historic plaque program for locally designated buildings and organize 2016 Preservation Awards for rehabilitative work on historic structures

  • Design and maintain an online presence, centered around social media and the commission's website, to enhance community outreach and engagement
